Lydia had gotten her hair cut in the morning . That evening I was trying to get her in the shower, which she usually loves, but refused. Finally, she informed me that if she gets her hair wet it will grow back. Makes since, right?

Jude noticed me when he didn't think I was there and said, " mom, you scared me out of my own sockets!"

What is he talking about?

We had the missionaries over for dinner on night, and they were jumping on the trampoline. The Elders were trying to teach our children how to do a backflip, but were having a hard time because we have and older tramp with no net. So they kept using that as a excuse for messing up. Well, Garrett kept saying continuously in his Jack Black/ Regis Philbin voice ( for those of you who know Garrett), "Nets are for Hippies!" What is he talking about? I actually think he was trying to say "Nets are for Sissys." Too funny!

1st Article of Faith

The First Article of Faith is:" We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost."
We believe God and Jesus live and have bodies of flesh and bone, just as we do. The Holy Ghost is a spirit who helps guide us to do what is right, and comforts us in times of need.

Moments that make a mother proud

Yesterday I was whistling "We Thank Thee Oh God for a Prophet", when Jude says, "Mom, we sing that song at church". I don't know why but it shocked me that he recognized the song. It makes me proud to know he is paying some attention at church.

This week the kids have been celebrating Dr. Suess' b-day.
Jude's and Dallin's class made cat in the hat hats. Lyddie happened to be wearing a red and white striped shirts today, and Jude said, " Mom, Lyddie is cat in the shirt".
